Crosstown Concourse Website Development
Crosstown Concourse, originally one of 12 Sears & Roebuck distribution centers throughout the U.S., is a symbol of rebirth and a national model for what has become known as a “vertical village.”
Crosstown reopened its doors in 2017 after sitting dormant for more than two decades, thanks to a group of passionate Memphians who forged through an almost indomitable feat.
Now, the building houses everything from a coffee shop to a gym, a health care organization to a high school. Not to mention, you can live upstairs in one of the building’s high-rise apartments.
With Crosstown’s growth and popularity, its current site had become challenging to navigate and difficult to maneuver on the backend.
Therefore, the non-profit organization engaged with Memphis-based LAB Digital Creative to help design a more streamlined, user-friendly site.
Highlights of the new website design include:
- Extensive wireframe development and UX design
- “Card Mapping” to simplify the page structure
- A branding refresh in collaboration with local illustrator Tom Martin for visual design
- Robust calendar of events completely branded to Crosstown Concourse
- Live Instagram feed on the homepage
- A dynamic “Mega Menu” that gives users many options without being overwhelming and cumbersome
- Custom developed on WordPress for easy content management and a dynamic user experience.
- SEO optimization.
