Alan Hudgins

Co-Founder & Creative Director

Alan Hudgins is Co-Founder and Creative Director of LAB Digital Creative. With more than a decade of experience in design and technology, Alan brings a wealth of knowledge to companies and clients who seek innovative and transcendent design skills. For more than five years, he worked for a leading website design company based in Memphis, Tennessee, providing leadership and oversight for the development team as well as has created and maintained websites for a number of national, regional and local clients.

Alan immerses himself in all facets of design and technology, keeping up with the latest trends to not only lead his clients to success but also to implement strategic initiatives within his organization. Specifically, he concepted and created a web design product for small- to medium-sized business who sought custom web design at a more affordable price point. Between 2015 when the product launched until 2019, nearly 40 clients took advantage of the platform, allowing organizations to have a strategic web presence without the price tag of a larger web design agency.

His ability to understand and address clients’ critical marketing needs, especially within the realm of branding and web design, has allowed him to provide impeccable results to clients of all sizes for more than a decade.

When not immersed in design work for his clients, you can find Alan relaxing in the South Main Arts District of Memphis, where he resides. He’s passionate about cars, architecture and design, travel, and bourbon.

Michael Newsome

Co-Founder & President

Michael Newsome is Co-Founder and President of LAB Digital Creative. He began his career in banking, managing various bank branches and providing leadership for up to eight employees. A seasoned business professional with more than a decade of business and management experience, he has accumulated a solid base of leadership, business development, management, community relations development and operations management expertise.

In 2016, Michael transitioned his career to marketing, specifically within the website design and digital marketing space, as Chief Operating Officer of a Memphis-based web design company. He has been able to channel his passion for technology into helping his clients with innovative and strategic marketing solutions that help them achieve both financial and organizational success.

Throughout his tenure with the company, Michael grew the team as well as revenue and sales, introducing new digital marketing revenue streams and developing deep partnerships with other agencies.

In 2019, Michael co-founded LAB Digital Creative with co-founder and Creative Director, Alan Hudgins. Michael’s vast experience in sales, banking, finance, operations and management has allowed him to build a strong, innate ability to lead teams, develop strategies and execute complex marketing and business plans for a wide range of national, regional and local clients.

Michael holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Christian Brothers University. A native of Memphis, he’s passionate about improving the city through various initiatives and is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Memphis. He also enjoys supporting his neighborhood, the South Main Arts District.
