LAB cooks up a fresh eCommerce Website Design for Memphis-favorite, Corky’s BBQ & Ribs
Corky’s BBQ is renowned worldwide for its mouth-watering ribs and barbecue. With multiple locations across the Southeast and a substantial BBQ shipping operation as well as a consistent presence on QVC, Corky’s is a well-established brand. However, the old website was becoming outdated and needed an overhaul to enhance its online presence and visibility.
To achieve this, Corky’s enlisted our help to design a new eCommerce website that would improve user experience, generate more online sales and encourage more diners to visit their restaurants.
The website’s design reflects Corky’s Memphis heritage by using smoky, charred wood textures, bold ephemeral typography, and a color palette that gives the website a rustic and authentic look. This look and feel represents a complete overhaul of Corky’s visual language, introducing the ‘Pig and Crown’ emblem to the brand.
The website was designed with a particular focus on mobile users. The entire site is designed to provide an optimal user-experience and look great no matter what size device is viewing it. In order to achieve this, the designers paid close attention to the different screen sizes and resolutions that users may have. They also took care to develop a responsive design that would allow the site to adjust seamlessly to any device. Additionally, the designers considered the different ways that mobile users interact with websites, such as through touch screens and gestures and incorporated these into the design. The result is a website that is not only visually appealing but also functional and easy to use for customers on their phones.
To encourage more diners to eat in the restaurants, we included a restaurant locator feature that uses the user’s location automatically. The sidebar mini-menu has quick links for the nearest restaurant location that includes Driving Directions, Food Menu, Order Carryout, Order Delivery and Location Details buttons.
The food menu features toggle categories, so it’s easy to find items on an extensive menu that is location-specific. The menu has images of dishes sprinkled in to entice upsells and purchases.
The eCommerce feature of the website is seamlessly integrated and makes it easy for Corky’s fans to find the barbecue they love and have it shipped to them. This feature has been very helpful for the customers who live far away from Corky’s restaurants and cannot go to the physical stores to get their favorite barbecue. Moreover, the enhanced checkout sequence has made checking out online seamless. This has reduced the time that customers have to spend on the website, allowing them to quickly purchase their desired products and move on with their day. Additionally, the website has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, making the entire shopping experience convenient and enjoyable for the customers. Overall, the eCommerce feature has been a great addition to the website, providing customers with a smooth and hassle-free shopping experience.
